How the State of Colorado Increased Their Wind Capacity

October 10, 2020

The State of Colorado increased their wind generating capacity by 20% when Xcel Energy brought the Rush Creek Wind Project online in 2018, It is a 600-megawatt wind facility in eastern Colorado, located south of the town of Limon.

One of 100 plus landowners who signed a wind lease with the project successfully worked with us to sign a buyout agreement.

Using our financial models to analyze the terms of his lease agreement we were able to offer him a generous lump sum that he has been able to reinvest in his property.
