The wind industry in the U.S. is strong. The first quarter of 2020 saw an 11 percent increase in construction activity from the previous quarter. 24,690 MW were under construction across the country.
One of these projects is the Wildcat Creek Wind Farm, 50 miles north of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Once operational the wind farm will produce enough electricity to power 39,000 homes. The project has created approximately 250 full-time equivalent jobs during construction and once up and running the facility will employ 10 – 12 permanent employees.
Many of the construction materials are made in the US and this wind project is posed to save more than 320 million gallons of water each year while displacing carbon emissions from fossil fuel power plants.
Madison Street Energy hopes to partner with landowners in this beautiful part of Cooke County, TX who have signed wind lease agreements with the project owner. A lump sum buyout of a wind lease provides capital that can be reinvested into this important ranch land, providing landowners the necessary tools to grow their business and create stability for their families.
